Katarina Vetrakova

Katarina Vetrakova has a diverse work experience in the fields of privacy, security, compliance, and data protection. Katarina currently holds the position of Senior Manager, Privacy, Security & Resiliency at GoCardless since November 2022. Katarina is also serving as the Data Protection Officer at the same company since September 2022. Prior to this, Katarina worked as the Privacy Programme Manager at GoCardless from October 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining GoCardless, Katarina worked as a Senior Compliance Manager at Flux from October 2020 to October 2021. Prior to that, they held the role of Data Privacy Coordinator at LUSH COSMETICS LIMITED from September 2018 to October 2020.

Katarina also gained some experience in the legal field, as they worked as part of the Legal Talent Pool at LUSH COSMETICS LIMITED in April 2018. Additionally, they have internship experience at Slovak Aid, where they served as an Intern from May 2017 to June 2017.

Katarina Vetrakova attended the University of Aberdeen from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with a specialization in Law. In 2017, Katarina also briefly studied at Beijing Normal University, focusing on Law. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Information Privacy Professional - Europe (CIPP/E) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals in March 2021.
