Marcis B. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Marcis started their career in 2007 as a Retail Product and Logistics Manager at Tele2 Latvia, where they focused on product sourcing, portfolio management, and retail pricing strategies. In 2011, they briefly served as a Commercial Project Manager at Tele2 Kazakhstan, where they managed marketing and retail sales projects.

From 2014 to 2020, Marcis worked at PINS.co, initially as a Rewards Manager, where they built and implemented rewards strategies for loyalty programs in multiple countries. Marcis also managed the development of an e-commerce platform for loyalty points redemption. Marcis then transitioned to become the Head of Ecommerce Product, overseeing the design and development of e-commerce solutions and loyalty mobile apps for partners in various countries. Later, as the Customer Experience Director, they played a significant role in developing a renewed business strategy and pitching commercial proposals to partners.

In 2021, Marcis joined airBaltic as a Digital Solution Manager, responsible for managing the development of digital solutions for the airline's loyalty program. Marcis led the development of a loyalty e-Commerce platform, website, and automation flows for email marketing and mobile app notifications.

From 2021 to 2023, Marcis worked at Giraffe360 as a Product Manager, where they focused on product strategy development, stakeholder alignment, and UX research. Currently, they serve as a Product Manager at GoCardless, where they identify customer problems, generates product ideas, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to define the product roadmap and prioritize features.

Throughout their career, Marcis has demonstrated expertise in product management, project management, agile methodologies, and business development.

Marcis B. completed their Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences, Advertising at Latvijas Universitate from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they pursued Business Administration (BBA) and marketing at Riga Business College from 2003 to 2006. In terms of additional certifications, Marcis obtained various qualifications in different fields. In 2011, they completed a Project Management course at Franklin Covey Latvia. In 2013, they obtained certifications in LEAN Philosophy and Innovation and Creativity through Komercizglītības Centrs SIA. In 2014, they received a certification in Key Account Management from Rīgas Ekonomikas augstskola - Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. Marcis expanded their knowledge further by completing Agile and Scrum Project Management training at Baltic Computer Academy in 2018. In 2019, they obtained certifications in Design Thinking from FH OÖ Forschungs & Entwicklungs GmbH, Facebook Advertising, and Google Ads Advertising from Digital Journey. Most recently, in 2020, Marcis became a Scrum Master Certified (SMC) through SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile, and also completed a Programming using Java course at Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University).
