Pavan Krishnamurthy

Pavan Krishnamurthy has a diverse and extensive work experience. Pavan currently works at GoCardless as an Engineering Management, where they manage SWE & Data Engineering teams focused on building solutions to drive efficiency of GTM and Merchant Operations business functions. One team focuses on building data and intelligence products to enrich customer engagement tools, while the other teams build Risk intelligence tooling and data products.

Prior to their current role, Pavan worked at Facebook as a Partner Engineering Manager. Pavan led three distributed and customer-facing technical teams that provided technical solutions, API integrations, and consultancy to top media companies in the News, Sports, and Entertainment industries. Pavan supported the team in strategic planning, roadmaps, product management, and cross-functional alignment.

Before joining Facebook, Pavan worked as a self-employed advisor, providing guidance on strategy, product design, marketing, and execution to various startups in India and the USA. Pavan also helped bootstrap a development team in India for a social media app startup.

Pavan also has experience working at Microsoft as a Partner Engineering lead, where they were responsible for delivering Skype mobile solutions on various platforms, primarily on the Android ecosystem. Pavan worked closely with partner companies and Skype's product and engineering teams.

Earlier in their career, Pavan worked at Nokia as a Lead Engineer/Scrum Master on the Meego Devices platform, where they owned the multimedia streaming components and delivered the world's first fully integrated mobile Skype Video calling solution. Pavan also worked as a Senior Engineer on Symbian Devices, where they integrated open source libraries and initiated a project to port the Gstreamer multimedia framework.

Pavan's earliest work experience was as a Software Engineer at UTStarcom - MGL.

Pavan Krishnamurthy completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University. Pavan then pursued an Executive General Management Programme in Business Administration and Management, General from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore from 2016 to 2017.
