João Paulo Lethier has extensive work experience in the field of software development and engineering, with a focus on roles such as Software Engineer, Engineering Manager, CTO, Lead Developer, and RubyOnRails Developer.
Starting in 2009, João worked at Universidade Federal Fluminense, where they gained experience as a Scrum Master and performed software development tasks.
In 2011, they joined VentureOne Startups as a Rails Developer, leading the development of the Zupty project and presenting their work at startup events.
In 2012, they worked as an Analista Desenvolvedor Pleno at XLSolutions before founding Ofertus, a personal affiliate program where they were responsible for technical decisions, software and business development.
João then worked at RedeJovem and Chegue.La as a RubyOnRails Developer, where they developed APIs and integrated applications with Chegue.La, while also promoting the use of Test-Driven Development.
Starting in 2014, João joined Bonuz.Me as a Lead Developer, taking responsibility for the development of the Bonuz API and Bonuz Admin, and also serving as the Scrum Master for Android and iOS development.
From 2015 to 2020, João worked at Zygo, initially as a Software Engineer and later as the CTO, leading and growing the development team. João Paulo was responsible for development, support, maintenance, and infrastructure of all company applications and products. Technologies used included Ruby, Rails, React, AWS, PostgreSQL, Digital Ocean, Datadog, Rollbar, and Logentries.
Most recently, João joined GoCo.io, Inc. as a Software Engineer in 2023.
João Paulo Lethier obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal Fluminense, graduating in 2011. During this period, they also pursued a second Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which they completed in 2011 at the same university. Additionally, they obtained several certifications from Code School, including "App Evolution With Swift" in November 2016, "Powering Up With React" in November 2016, "shaping-up-with-angular-js" in May 2015, and "Try Ruby" in June 2013.
