Joao Torres

Joao Torres has extensive work experience in software engineering and development roles. Joao began their career at Rakuten in 2013 as a Senior Software Engineer and later moved on to work as a Senior Backend Developer at various companies such as SeQura, Amaris, Ztory, and Kantox. In 2017, they joined zapptales as a Senior Backend Developer before transitioning to Sage in 2020 as a Software Engineer. Joao also has experience teaching Ruby on Rails at Le Wagon. Currently, they are working at GoCo.io, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer.

Joao Torres has a strong educational background in computer science. Joao completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, which they pursued from 1998 to 2002. Later, they went on to obtain a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science / Bioinformatics from the same university, completing it from 2004 to 2006.
