Marquess Lewis

Marquess Lewis is the current Advisor at GoCoach. Prior to that, they were the SVP, Data Platforms and System Architecture at Starz from November 2020 to May 2021. Marquess was responsible for cloud engineering and operations for the Starz streaming platform, the data infrastructure and operations which feed customer and operational analytics. Marquess was also responsible for cross-cutting architecture and security functions.

From February 2012 to November 2020, Marquess Lewis was the CTO at Unicon, Inc. During their time there, they focused on learning systems architecture, digital transformation, cloud architecture and DevOps, learning analytics, strategic planning and market analysis, leadership, business development, M&A, Higher Ed, K12, and Corporate relationships.

Before Unicon, Inc., Marquess Lewis was the VP Engineering at cMarket from April 2005 to December 2005.

Marquess Lewis has also held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Pearson Education, Learning Technology Group (U.S. HE & K12) from January 2006 to December 2011. As CTO, their responsibilities included managing a $100M global technology portfolio and leading a team of 250+ engineers, architects, and analysts located in Boston, Denver, Raleigh NC, London UK, Bangalore India, and Sydney Australia.

Marquess has also been the Manager, Engineering Architecture at Pearson Education from January 2000 to October 2004 and the Director, software systems at voter.com from January 1999 to December 2000.

Marquess Lewis has a MS in Environmental Engineering from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and a BS in Environmental Engineering from the same school. They are certified in Unconscious Bias and Organizational Thought Leadership from LinkedIn, ASU GSV Summit 2016 from the ASU GSV Summit, and Wilderness First Aid from the Emergency Care and Safety Institute.
