Samir Somaiya

Samir Somaiya is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in various sectors. Currently serving as the President of Somaiya Vidyavihar since September 2013, Somir also owns Kitabkhana since March 2011 and has held the position of Chairman of The Board of Trustees at The Somaiya Trust since 1995. Additionally, Somaiya has been the Chairman & Managing Director of The Godavari Biorefineries Limited since January 1993. From 2007 to 2019, Somaiya contributed as a Visiting Faculty at Cornell University, teaching a course on Agriculture and Renewable Resources. Academically, Somaiya holds an MPA in Public Administration from Harvard University, an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, and multiple degrees in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, complemented by early education at St. Xavier's College and St. Mary's School ICSE in Mumbai.
