Dr. Aakash Peringoth has over 15 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management. Dr. Aakash currently holds the position of Associate Vice President - Health and Safety at Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd (GPIL) since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the AGM - HSEQ Corporate at ReNew Power from January 2023 to April 2023. Dr. Aakash has also held various managerial positions at KEC International Ltd., Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., JONES LANG LASALLE, and Honeywell Airport Systems GmbH. Dr. Peringoth has a strong background in EHS management and has advanced their career by taking on roles such as Regional Head - EHS (SBU- Railways) and Manager - Health & Safety.
Dr. Aakash Peringoth's education history is as follows:
From 1999 to 2000, they completed their 12th grade at BNS, where they focused on PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).
From 2000 to 2006, Dr. Aakash attended IPS Academy, Indore, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Fire Technology and Safety Engineering.
In 2006, they briefly enrolled at Indira Gandhi National Open University for their Post Graduation in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management.
From 2006 to 2008, Dr. Aakash pursued their Master's in Business Management with a specialization in Safety Management Systems at the National Institute of Management, Baroda, Gujarat.
In 2008, they began their Ph.D. studies in Environmental Science at the International B-School in Gujarat, which they completed in 2010.
In 2018 and 2019, Dr. Aakash obtained an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from Green World Group, further expanding their knowledge in the field of Industrial Safety.

Co., formally Ispat Godawari Ltd (IGL), a pioneer constituent belonging to Hira Group of Industries, Raipur, C.G. was incorporated in 1999 to set up an integrated steel plant with captive power generation under the guidance of visionary leadership of Mr. B. L. Agrawal, Managing Director, a techno commercial visionary having proven wide experience in commissioning & running of Cement Plant, Sponge Iron Plant.
