Sumela Dutta is an experienced professional in Human Resources and academia, currently serving as a Visiting Professor at the International Management Institute (since May 2021) and at ICFAI Business School (since June 2018). Additionally, Sumela holds the position of Regional HR Business Partner at Nature's Basket Limited since April 2018. Previous roles include Manager HR at Zee Media Corporation Limited (November 2013 - April 2018), Assistant Manager HR at Star India (February 2012 - October 2013), Senior Executive HR at Pantaloon Retail India Ltd (January 2010 - February 2012), and HR Generalist at Spencer's Retail Limited (June 2007 - December 2009). Sumela's academic credentials include a Master's in Human Resource Management from the Indian Institute Of Social Welfare and Business Management, a Diploma in Training & Development from ISTD New Delhi, a B.Sc in Economics from Lady Brabourne College, and an M.Sc in Economics with a focus on Econometrics & Statistics from the University of Calcutta.
