Dr. Derek Cooley

Director Of Special Education at GODWIN HEIGHTS PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Dr. Derek Cooley has held various roles in the field of special education. In 2014, they served as an Adjunct Professor at Grand Valley State University. In 2015, they joined Godwin Heights Public Schools as the Director of Special Education. Currently, Dr. Cooley is the President of the Michigan Association of Administrators of Special Education.

Dr. Derek Cooley's education history is as follows:

From 1998 to 2003, they attended Central Michigan University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on Special Education.

Dr. Derek then pursued further studies at Grand Valley State University from 2005 to 2007, earning a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, specializing in Educational Leadership and Administration.

Lastly, from 2008 to 2013, Dr. Cooley attended Western Michigan University, where they completed their Doctorate in Special Education with a specialization in Special Education and Teaching.
