Sefi Genis

Sefi Genis has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Sefi is currently serving as the Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer at Firefly since February 2021. Previously, they worked at Israel Defense Forces as a Tech Interviewer for the "GAMA Project" from February 2015.

In 2019, Sefi joined Cynamics as the Head of Engineering, where they built and led a team of four software engineers. Sefi also designed a distributed high-scaled architecture on AWS and implemented R&D processes. Sefi'stenure with Cynamics lasted until June 2020.

Before that, Sefi worked at Dome9 Security, which was later acquired by Check Point. Sefi held multiple positions during their time at Dome9, starting as a Full Stack Engineer in May 2016. Sefi worked closely with the CTO on building the compliance engine proof of concept. Sefi then served as a Tech-Leader/Big Data Developer, taking responsibility for scaling out the architecture to support increased customer base and conducting technical interviews. Later, they became the Team Leader of the Backend Infrastructure team, overseeing the Compliance-Engine infrastructure. Sefi provided mentorship and guidance to their team members. Sefi worked with Dome9 Security until November 2019.

Furthermore, Sefi worked as a Software Engineer at Codota, an early-stage startup, where they designed and built the product using various technologies such as ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Celery, Node.js, and Angular. Sefi'stenure at Codota lasted from March 2015 to November 2015.

Prior to that, Sefi served in the Israel Defense Forces from 2012 to 2015. Sefi worked as a Cyber Security Developer, specializing in network protocols and REST web services. Sefi also participated in the Mamas (Gamma) course, where they gained experience with IBM infrastructure.

Before joining the Israel Defense Forces, Sefi worked as a Web Developer & Freelancer at WebDHM.com. During their tenure, they developed MVC and JQuery infrastructures and led the development process.

Overall, Sefi Genis has a diverse and extensive background in technology roles, ranging from engineering and development to leadership and management.

Sefi Genis completed their high school education at Ohel Shem High School between 2007 and 2011. During this time, they focused on studying Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and Information Technologies. Following their high school education, Sefi pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at The Open University of Israel. They successfully completed their degree program between 2013 and 2017.
