Hugh Jones

Hugh Jones is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the travel and investment industries. As Co-Founder of Basalt Investments, LLC since 2018, Hugh has also held significant roles, including Lead Independent Director and Compensation Committee Chairman at Gogo since August 2016, and Chairman Of The Board at Groupize since March 2020. Previously, Hugh served on the Board of Directors for Travelport from 2019 to December 2023 and was President of Sabre Airline Solutions from April 2011 to August 2017. Hugh's leadership experience includes serving as CEO and President of Travelocity from January 2009 to March 2011, as well as various roles at Sabre Corporation from 1996 to 2009, including Chief Operations Officer of the Travel Industry Group. Early career experience includes a finance position at American Airlines from 1988 to 1996. Hugh holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BS in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
