Carey Ransom

Carey Ransom is a seasoned professional in the venture capital and fintech sectors, currently serving as Managing Director of BankTech Ventures, a $115M strategic investment fund focused on community banking and fintech. Ransom is the Founder and Managing Partner of Operate, a venture studio dedicated to accelerating product-centric, data-driven software companies. Additionally, Ransom hosts the Operate Podcast, featuring discussions with global innovators and entrepreneurs. As a co-founder and Chairman of Bonus, Ransom aims to enhance financial security for homeowners. Ransom holds investment and advisory roles in several startups, including Torpago, PortX, Trnsact, SailPlan, Knit, and Short Story. Ransom earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA in Economics from Indiana University Bloomington.
