Chris Steenkamp

Chris Steenkamp, CA (SA) has extensive work experience in auditing and finance. Chris began their career as an Auditor/Accountant at Deane & Thresher Chartered Accountants (S.A.) from 2003 to 2009, where they performed external audits for clients in various industries.

From 2010 to present, Chris worked at Gold Fields, where they held various roles including Chief Internal Auditor, Acting Chief Internal Auditor, and Auditor In Charge. Their responsibilities included leading internal audit teams, performing operational and financial audits, and planning and reviewing audit files and reports. Chris also managed internal audits in the Americas and Australia regions of Gold Fields.

In addition, Chris served as Director and Treasurer at Clearwater Estates Homeowners Association from 2014 to 2019. In this role, they managed financial transactions and performed month-end reporting processes for the not-for-profit company.

From 2003 to 2006, Steenkamp attended UNISA and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation.

In 2007, they pursued further studies at UNISA and completed a B.Compt (Hons) degree in Auditing, Accounting, and Taxation.

The following year, in 2008, they obtained the prestigious Chartered Accountant SA qualification from SAICA.

Having completed their education, Steenkamp has acquired a strong foundation in auditing, accounting, taxation, and related areas, making him well-equipped for professional positions in these fields.
