Karen Davtyan

Karen Davtyan is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in technical services and underground mining management. Currently serving as the Unit Manager of Technical Services at Gold Fields since September 2012, Karen oversees a team of 40 engineers responsible for all operations at Agnew, following a significant operational restructuring. Previously, Karen held multiple roles at Agnew Gold Mine, including Underground Mine Manager, and played a pivotal role during the merger of the Waroonga and New Holland mines in 2020. Earlier experience includes overseeing a workforce of over 400 employees as Underground Mine Manager at Deno Gold Mining Company, where Karen managed operations, budgets, and long-term planning. Karen holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the State Engineering University.
