Ian Bamborough

Ian is the Managing Director of ASX listed gold explorer Saturn Metals Limited where he has served since the Company’s inception in 2017.

Ian is a Geologist with more than 25 years leadership experience in the mining industry, beginning his geological career in the UK before transitioning to the Australian gold sector. He initially established his career with Newmont Mining Corporation and has also held positions as Managing Director of ASX listed Spectrum Rare Earths Limited and as a Director on the Northern Territory Mining Board. Ian also holds a Directorship with private exploration and mining company Reef Mining Pty Ltd.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Applied Geology (BSc Hons), a Master of Science in Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology (MSc), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Ian is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (MAIG) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
