Akshay Modi

Akshay Modi currently serves as an Early Career Editorial Board Member for the Chemical Engineering Journal at Elsevier, and holds the position of Assistant Professor at IISER Bhopal since April 2022. Previously, Akshay was a Blaustein Postdoctoral Fellow at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where Akshay also completed a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. Academic involvement includes roles as a Graduate Student and Teaching Assistant at IIT Bombay, Graduate Teaching Assistant at IIT Kanpur, and various leadership positions such as Student Convenor for the Research Scholars' Symposium. Akshay's early career included contributions as a Placement Representative at NIT Srinagar, Industrial Trainee at GAIL (India) Limited, and an intern at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad. Akshay's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from National Institute of Technology Srinagar, a Master's degree from IIT Kanpur, and a Ph.D. from IIT Bombay.
