Kathryn McDonnell

Kathryn McDonnell has extensive experience in user experience research and design, culminating in roles such as Head of UX Research at Elsevier from January 2015 to September 2019 and Manager of User Experience at LexisNexis from June 2003 to January 2015. At Elsevier, Kathryn led a team in formalizing UX practices and integrating research tools while conducting both qualitative and quantitative research for the ScienceDirect platform. Prior experience includes Senior User Experience Specialist at LexisNexis, where Kathryn managed a multidisciplinary team and was responsible for user research and design for legal research products, as well as roles at the BBC and Serco Usability Services, where Kathryn performed user research and testing. Academic credentials include a Dual Honours degree in Business and French from The University of Sheffield and a postgraduate module in Human-Computer Interaction from The Open University.
