Rodney Carvalho

Rodney Carvalho has been in the software engineering industry since 2000. Rodney began their career at Liquid Audio as a Software Engineer and then worked for Sony Corporation as a Software Engineer from 2002-2004. In 2004, they joined ECast Inc. as a Software Engineer and then moved to Internaut as a Partner/Consultant from 2006-2009. During this time, they managed a team of five developers using SCRUM and developed applications using Ruby on Rails, JQuery and MySQL for clients such as Pioneer Electronics, LinkedIn and startup clients like StartupAgents. From 2009-2010, Rodney was the CEO of ScrumNinja, where they envisioned and built the product from the ground up. In 2010, they also worked as a Consultant for Orange, where they developed TV++, a 2nd screen interactive television experience for the iPad. From 2011-2016, Rodney worked as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for Better Therapeutics and then moved to Tanium in 2018 as a Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer. During this time, they lead team standups, retrospectives and conducted 1-1s with team members, prioritized workload for team members, designed and developed Connect Plugin Architecture, decoupled Connect releases from plugin functionality written by other product teams, designed and developed AWS S3 plugin functionality, and created a File Streaming plugin that allowed easy field testing for streaming large amounts of data. Finally, Rodney joined Goldbelly in 2020 as an Engineering Manager and Tech Lead.

Rodney Carvalho obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University between 1994 and 1998. In September 2020, they earned a PowerMBA certification from ThePowerMBA.
