McHugh Pierre joined Goldbelt Incorporated in March 2015 as the Vice President of Alaska Operations. In this role, McHugh was responsible for the management of all of Goldbelt’s Juneau-based operations, including tourism entities and all land and real estate. He was then appointed to serve as Interim President & CEO in April 2019, a role the Goldbelt Board of Directors unanimously approved him to fill in a permanent capacity in February 2020.
Prior to joining Goldbelt, McHugh owned and operated Quantum Communications, a public relations and government affairs firm. In addition, he has served as Deputy Commissioner and Director of Public and Government Affairs at the State of Alaska’s Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, as well as Director of Public Relations in the Office of Governor Frank Murkowski.
McHugh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Communications from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
