John Anderson

John Anderson possesses extensive experience in both scientific research and environmental restoration. With a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS in Chemistry from Haverford College, John held notable research positions at Elan Pharmaceuticals, Inc., progressing from Scientist to Principal Scientist, and ultimately Senior Scientist, where major contributions were made toward Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease therapies. Since 1999, John has been actively involved in volunteer work with various restoration programs within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, focusing on native plant propagation and invasive species management. Currently, John serves as a Restoration Technician with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy since 2012, enhancing conservation efforts across multiple sites.
