Lasse Sorensen

Lasse Sorensen is an experienced shipping professional with a strong background in freight trading and operations. Currently serving as the Global Head of Panamax at Golden Ocean Management AS since March 2018, Lasse has held multiple titles within the company, including Head of Panamax Trading and Senior Freight Trader. Prior to this role, Lasse worked at Cargill from September 2013 to February 2018 as a Freight Trader specializing in Panamax, focusing on North Atlantic physical trading and strategic customer development. Lasse's career encompasses significant positions at Gunvor International, Fortescue Metals Group, and several other reputable firms, where expertise was gained in freight trading, operations management, and dry bulk logistics. Lasse also completed an apprenticeship in commercial shipping at Copenship A/S, which provided a comprehensive foundation in various aspects of the shipping industry.
