Roman Ciecwierz has worked in a variety of roles since 1983. Roman began their career as the Founder of Turquoise Advisors. In 1998, they became a Founding Principal and Director of Bravada Consumer Communications Inc. In 2008, they took on the roles of President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as Director, for the Sovereign Order of Malta, Canadian Association. From 2014 to 2015, they were the Principal of mgmt2go and the Executive Board Member (Treasurer) for Malteser International, Americas. Roman also served as a Teaching Faculty for the Caribbean Governance Training Institute from 2018 to 2022. During this time, they were also the Chairman of Shared Value Solutions Ltd. and the Specialist for Innovation Guelph. Additionally, they were the Executive Board Member (Treasurer) for the Institute of Corporate Directors, South Western Ontario Chapter from 2015 to 2018. Most recently, they have been a Venture Partner for Golden Section since 2022.

Roman Ciecwierz began their education in 1974, earning a BA in Business and Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1980. In 2008, they earned a Graduate Studies Diploma in Golf Operations Management from the Golf Management Institute of Canada. In 2021, they earned a Certificate in Indigenous Canada from the University of Alberta and a Certificate in Global Diplomacy: Diplomacy in the Modern World from the University of London. Roman is currently enrolled in a Certificate program in 4 Seasons of Reconciliation at the First Nations University of Canada, set to finish in 2022. Roman has also obtained numerous certifications, including a Private Equity Portfolio Company Governance from the Private Directors Association in 2022, an ESOP Governance Essentials from the Private Directors Association in 2022, a Certificate in Private Company Governance from the Private Directors Association in 2021, an Introduction to ESG from the Corporate Finance Institute in 2021, a PADI Master Instructor from Professional Association of Diving Instructors in 2019, a Certified Manager from the Institute of Certified Professional Managers in 2018, an Enterprise Risk Management for Directors from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2016, an Audit Committee Effectiveness from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2013, a Chartered Manager from the Canadian Institute of Management in 2011, a Directors, Officers and Principals Course from the Canadian Securities Institute in 1989, a Canadian Securities Course from the Canadian Securities Institute in 1986, a Canadian Commercial Pilot License, Multi Engine, IFR from Transport Canada in 1981, a Seller Certified from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission in 2022, a Certified Notary Signing Agent from the National Notary Association in 2020, and a Notary Public Commission from the Office of the Texas Secretary of State in 2020. Roman also holds a Financial Modelling and Business Valuation (FMVA) from the Corporate Finance Institute.
