Monica Buendia

Monica Buendia has a history of working in the food industry. Monica is currently the Global Director of Food Safety and Quality at Golden State Foods, a role they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Global Sr. Food Safety Manager at GSF from 2017 onward. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Food Safety Consultant at I.D.E.A., where they specialized in providing scientific solutions on food safety and assisting with programs such as HACCP and food defense. Monica also worked as a Quality Manager at TreeHouse Foods from 2008 to 2016 and as a Food Science Specialist at FSNS from 2004 to 2008.

Monica Buendia holds a Masters degree in Industrial Technology specializing in Manufacturing & Construction from Texas State University. Monica also has a Professional Studies degree in Global Affairs from New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from St. Mary's University. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Government Project Management from Lynda.com in 2016.
