Armando Rivas

Armando Rivas, MS, LAT/ATC, currently serves as an Athletic Trainer for the Golden State Warriors since February 2025. Rivas has a substantial background in sports medicine, having previously worked as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Miami HEAT from July 2019 to February 2025, and as an Athletic Trainer and Player Preparation and Recovery Specialist for the Philadelphia 76ers between November 2018 and August 2019. Prior roles include Athletic Trainer and Player Preparation and Recovery Liaison for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Chicago Bulls. Rivas started in sports medicine as the Director of Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer for the Los Angeles Galaxy Soccer Club and served as a Minor League Athletic Trainer for the Los Angeles Angels. Rivas earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training/Trainer from California State University, Fullerton, and a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
