Baretta Johnson

Baretta Johnson is an experienced leader in provider experience, currently serving as the Director of Provider Experience at Wellpoint since February 2022. Prior to this role, Baretta managed the Provider Relations department for Amerigroup from August 2015 to March 2022, overseeing operations for 21 counties in West Tennessee. Baretta's professional journey also includes a position as Contract Manager in Professional Affairs at Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics, where responsibilities included managing consulting contracts and provider relations across North America and Europe. Earlier experience at UAHC Health Plan of Tennessee spanned from 1994 to 2008, where Baretta held various roles, including Director of Provider Services. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of St. Francis and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Towson University.
