Derek Apfel

Derek Apfel serves as the Chief Financial Officer at GoldenSource starting in 2023, with previous CFO roles at Tilting Point (2020-2023) and Heed, LLC (2017-2019). Apfel possesses extensive experience in capital raising and investor relations, successfully raising over $30 million in equity capital. Prior to these positions, Apfel was an investor at Capitol Acquisition Corp. III, overseeing a $2.4 billion acquisition, and worked in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Citigroup, where Apfel executed more than $30 billion in M&A and capital markets transactions. Additionally, Apfel began a career in equity research at Barclays Capital and served as a budget analyst at the Social Security Administration. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance & Accounting from NYU Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Economics from Boston College Carroll School of Management.
