Claudio MacChetto

Claudio Macchetto has extensive experience in the finance industry, with a focus on hedge funds and asset management. Claudio is currently the Managing Director of Business Development at GoldenTree Asset Management since October 2019. Prior to this, they held various roles at BlueMountain Capital Management, including Head of Client Advisory - North America and Head of Platform Distribution & East Coast Institutional Clients. Before joining BlueMountain, Claudio was a Managing Director at Paulson & Co., where they managed marketing and investor relations for the firm's hedge funds. Claudio also worked at Citi, where they held multiple roles, including Director and Product Manager for HedgeForum Hedge Fund Platform, and Chief Financial Officer for Funds of Hedge Funds. Claudio began their career at Salomon Smith Barney as First Vice President of Planning & Analysis. Claudio also has experience at Booz Allen & Hamilton and ISS | Institutional Shareholder Services. Claudio's extensive work experience showcases their expertise in business development, marketing, and distribution in the finance industry.

Claudio Macchetto obtained an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School in 1996. Prior to that, they earned a BSBA degree in Marketing & International Business with a minor in French from Georgetown University in 1991. Claudio completed their high school education at Georgetown Preparatory School, receiving a High School Diploma in 1987. Additionally, Claudio attended BSN between 1975 and 1983.
