Iain Turner

Iain Turner has a comprehensive background in engineering geology and geotechnical engineering. Iain started their career in 1990 as a Geotechnical Engineer at Kent County Council and then worked as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Hyder Consulting from 1994 to 1999. Iain gained experience as a Senior Engineering Geologist at Carillion from 1997 to 1999. Iain then joined Ashdown SI Limited as a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer from 1999 to 2004. After that, they worked at Coffey International Ltd for a total of 11 years, initially as a Principal Engineering Geologist from 2004 to 2013 and then in the same role from 2013 to 2015. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Engineering Geologist at Golder Associates, where they have been working since 2015.

Iain Turner attended Plymouth Polytechnic from 1987 to 1990, where they pursued a degree in Applied Geology. Iain later attended the University of Newcastle-on-Tyne from 1993 to 1994, focusing on Geotechnical Engineering.
