Sumit Roy

Sumit Roy is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment banking. Currently serving as Managing Director at Goldman Sachs since June 2018, Sumit has previously held the position of Director in Investment Banking at HSBC from April 2007 to June 2018, specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions. Early career experiences include a summer internship at Citibank India in 2006, a management trainee role at Larsen & Toubro Limited from May 2004 to April 2005, and a summer internship at Tata Motors in 2003. Academically, Sumit holds a PGDM in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (2005-2007) and a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (2000-2004).
