Caterina M. Caiazza, Ed.D., currently serves as the Assistant Vice President at Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship since May 2023. Prior to this role, Caterina held multiple positions at the University of Rochester from September 2011 to May 2023, including Director of Career Curriculum Initiatives, Director of Pre-professional and Graduate School Advising, Director of Health Professions Advising, Senior Assistant Director of the Career & Internship Center, and Assistant Director of the Career & Internship Center. Earlier experience includes serving as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Hobart and William Smith Colleges from September 2009 to May 2011 and as a Science Teacher at Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools from August 2007 to May 2009. Caterina's educational background includes a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Rochester (2019-2022), a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Duke University (2005-2007), and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Hobart and William Smith Colleges (2001-2005).

The Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship provides students with a high quality, accelerated, and cost-effective business education that is linked with networks of employers for career entry, provides coaching to rising entrepreneurs, and provides pathways to additional degrees and credentials via college and university partners. Opening in the fall of 2023, the institute will be the first of its kind in the United States and will proudly serve learners that are seeking to build economic strength with the guidance of faculty and staff that care deeply about their success.
