Karen Hawley

Karen Hawley began their work experience in 2014 as an Americorps VISTA Outreach Coordinator and Gift Processing Specialist at Community Action Network (CAN) of Ann Arbor. In 2016, they worked as a Community Organizer and Fundraiser at Clean Water Action, and concurrently held the position of Customer Service Representative at Ann Arbor State Bank. From 2018 to 2020, Karen worked at the Walter E. Heller College of Business - Roosevelt University as a Graduate Assistant and Graduate Student with a 4.0 GPA. In 2021, they joined PLS Financial Services as a Compliance Specialist focusing on Alert Investigations. Most recently, in 2022, Karen became an Analyst at Golub Capital.

Karen Hawley, CFE, completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in the Program of the Environment at the University of Michigan, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Karen then pursued a Master of Science in Accounting Forensics (MSAF) degree at Roosevelt University, which they successfully completed from 2018 to 2020. In addition to their academic achievements, Karen obtained the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in December 2021.
