Kunsheng Zhao

Kunsheng Zhao has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. Kunsheng is currently a Co-Founder and CTO at GoMaterials since September 2017. Before that, they worked as an NLPS Developer at Nuance Communications from February 2019 to September 2019, where they played a significant role in integrating various Natural Language Processing Components for the NLSP server using Java, Spring, Kubernetes, and Docker. Additionally, they developed internal demo and testing tools using React and MongoDB.

From April 2013 to August 2017, Kunsheng worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Walsh Integrated, where they focused on web portal and web service development using .NET (C#) and PHP (Codeigniter) on IIS and Apache Server. Prior to that, they were a Research Assistant at McGill University from March 2015 to September 2016, contributing to a binary analysis project for DRDC (Defence Research and Development Canada) in C++ and assembly. The project aimed to facilitate malware analysis.

Kunsheng also worked as a Research Assistant at Concordia University from January 2010 to March 2013. In this role, they were involved in Java (J2EE) web application development and database design. Notably, they worked on projects such as the Conference System and CINDI (Concordia Indexing and Discovering System). In addition, they served as a Teaching Assistant from September 2010 to December 2011.

In their early career, Kunsheng worked as a Software Developer at Zhejiang Tongqu Technology Co., Ltd. in Hangzhou, China from August 2006 to August 2008.

Kunsheng Zhao completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronic Information Engineering from Qingdao University of Science and Technology. Kunsheng attended the university from 2002 to 2006. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Concordia University from 2009 to 2012.
