Senior NLP Researcher at Gong

Alon Berliner has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Alon is currently employed at Gong as a Senior NLP Researcher, where they began in January 2023 after initially joining as an NLP Researcher in October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from September 2020 to March 2021, assisting in teaching machine learning for data science and engineering students.

Before joining Gong, Alon was a Data Scientist at GE Healthcare from June 2018 to September 2020. Alon worked on developing classification models for medical image analysis, specifically ultrasound view detection. Their internship research project eventually became an AI feature ready for implementation in a business unit.

Earlier in their career, Alon served as a Systems Analyst at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems from October 2016 to June 2018. Alon performed functional changes to the organization's information systems and contributed to the development of information retrieval applications using programming languages such as Python, Java, and PL/SQL.

During their time as a student, Alon held the position of IE&M Student Committee Vice Chairman at Technion Student Association from March 2016 to March 2017. Alon also gained military experience as a Platoon Commander (combat officer) in the IDF - Israel Defence Forces from October 2010 to August 2012 and as a Combat Soldier from March 2008 to October 2010.

Alon Berliner completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, with a specialization in Information Systems, from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Alon attended this institution from 2015 to 2019. Following their undergraduate studies, Alon pursued a Master of Science degree in Data Science from the same university. Alon began this program in 2019 and is expected to complete it in 2021.
