Michael Martin has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Michael began their career in 1993 at ASM Technology Pte, where they served as the Mechanical Engineering Supervisor, overseeing a team of engineers and technicians in the design and development of semiconductor packaging equipment. Michael then joined Siecor in 1997 as a Statistical Quality Engineer, implementing SPC tools to improve the fiber optic cabling process. In 1998, they joined PerkinElmer Optoelectronics as a Member of Technical Staff, before moving to Corvis Canada in 2000 as a Technical Section Leader. In 2002, they joined Alfalight, Inc. as the Director of Engineering, a position they held until 2016. During their time at Alfalight, they oversaw the engineering department and contributed to the company's success. Finally, they joined Gooch & Housego in 2016 and held multiple roles, including Engineering Manager and Chief Engineer. Overall, Michael has demonstrated a strong background in engineering and leadership roles throughout their career.
Michael Martin attended the University of Saskatchewan from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a BE MSc degree in Engineering.
