Maddy Mclean is currently the Social Communications Manager at Good Buy Gear. Prior to this, they were the Integrated Marketing Manager at oVertone Haircare Inc from August 2017 to December 2020. During their time at oVertone, they were directly responsible for the brand’s 10x YoY growth and managed social media resulting in half a million (500K+) new organic followers. Maddy also independently formed relationships with the first 2K influencers and worked closely with the DEI Committee to inform social justice campaigns.

Before oVertone, Maddy was a Publicist at People Making Good PR from May 2016 to August 2017 where they managed a variety of clients including: Au Bon Pain, Rollerblade, Crown Maple, Ann Clark Cookie Cutters, STABILgear, New Burlington Town Center Redevelopment, Northern Vermont University and more. As a publicist, they were responsible for spearheading all PR efforts for each client, including press releases, pitches, media kits, coverage reports and social media calendars, content creation and distribution. Maddy also corresponded with national and local media outlets and personnel to secure media placements across all platforms to reach client goals and objectives and facilitated weekly client meetings and update reports for each client.

Maddy Mclean graduated from Longmeadow High School and then went on to study public relations at Champlain College, where they specialized in digital marketing. Maddy then completed a second bachelor's degree in public relations at Bond University. Maddy is also certified by Sprout Social and Hootsuite Media Inc. as a Sprout Social Certified Professional and Hootsuite Certified Professional, respectively.
