Elena Walden

Ellie Walden is a seasoned professional in policy management and advocacy with extensive experience in both non-profit and governmental organizations. Currently serving as Senior Policy Manager at The Good Food Institute Europe since August 2020, Ellie focuses on promoting a sustainable and equitable food system. Prior roles include Senior EU Public Affairs Officer at the British Medical Association, where responsibilities encompassed advancing strategic interests within the European context and managing member relations. Previous positions also include diverse roles in the European Parliament, including Policy Advisor to Rory Palmer MEP, as well as internships within the UK Parliament and various European projects. Ellie holds an MSc in Social Policy and Social Research from UCL and a BA in European Social and Political Studies with a focus on Political Theory and French, complemented by a Certificat en Sciences Sociales from Sciences Po.
