The Good Goods

Good Goods is an online shopping destination for ethical goods. With a minimal and modern aesthetic, they highlight items that are doing all that they can to make the world better. The fashion industry is the second largest polluting industry, generating egregious waste, unnecessary byproduct, and items meant to be discarded after a season. Manyproducers treat their suppliers workers poorly, resulting in rampant human rights violations. While technology makes the use of animal products now unnecessary, millions of animals are slaughtered and abused to produce luxury clothing. They want to put an end to this, and change the way the fashion industry operates. They are a market disruptor.Good Goods is changing the way people consume by increasing production transparency and making information readily available and useful. They show consumers where there money is going so that they can make decisions based on how an item is made rather than how it looks or what is in fad. They believe that people are inherently good, and that if given the right tools and information, they will choose to do good. They believe in the power of business as the greatest potential force for good currently in the world. They believe that companies that operate ethically can create lasting and transformative change in their markets. They reject the idea that people make purchasing decisions based solely on price and looks, and embrace the fact that now more than ever before people are looking for meaning in everything, including the items that fill their lives. By telling the stories of items people already buy, they make better decisions easier on a daily basis. They envision a world where people have an overall positive impact on the environment, a world where you treat the person who sewed your T-shirt with the same respect you treat a close friend. They exist to provide opportunity to those who have none, and to level the playing field of haves and have-nots. They believe in the power of people to change the world.
