Carolyn Gomez

Carolyn Gomez, MBA, CPA has a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience at various prominent companies. Carolyn most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Finance at Goodheart-Willcox, a leading publisher of educational materials. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Director of Global Financial Planning and Analysis at Univar and as the VP Controller at Akoo International. Earlier in their career, they held roles at KONE, Hartmarx Corporation, HAVI, and Arthur Andersen LLP, gaining expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and auditing. Carolyn's diverse work experience has provided their with a well-rounded skill set and a deep understanding of the financial industry.

Carolyn Gomez holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance, Management, and Strategy from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois Chicago from 1996 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including the Certified Public Accountant designation from the Illinois Board of Examiners in September 1998. Carolyn also holds additional certifications in ESOP Governance Essentials, Private Company Governance, and Creating a Lean Culture.
