Bastian July

Bastian July has an extensive work experience in various legal and intellectual property (IP) positions. Bastian founded and served as the CEO of GoodIP, a company that focuses on helping startups protect their innovations through development of objective and key results (OKR) and business-oriented licensing strategies. Bastian also co-founded and served as the CEO/CFO of PlanJoin.

In their previous roles, Bastian worked as the General Counsel at ProGlove, responsible for all legal and IP matters. Bastian also served as a Senior Legal Counsel (IP & Antitrust) at OSRAM and as a Corporate Legal Counsel (IP Transactions) at Lantiq.

Before their industry experience, Bastian worked as an Associate at McDermott Will & Emery, where their practice areas included IP, TMT, and European Competition. Bastian was involved in reviewing agreements, conducting antitrust compliance trainings, and handling merger control notifications for tech companies.

Bastian began their career as a Teaching and Research Fellow at Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their expertise in IP protection, legal counsel, and business strategy.

Bastian July has pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the Boston University School of Law. Additionally, they have completed the General Management Program from the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. Bastian July's educational journey also includes studying at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree.
