Leisa Wamsley has a strong background in the nonprofit sector, particularly within Goodwill Industries. Leisa began their career at Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia in 1998 as a District Manager, where they gained valuable experience in managing operations. In 2008, Leisa joined Goodwill of North Georgia, initially as a Regional Director of Retail Operations before taking on the role of Director of Transportation & Attended Donation Centers. Subsequently, they transitioned to Goodwill Industries of Arkansas in 2011, serving as the Vice President of Donated Goods for nearly seven years. Leisa then moved to Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. in 2018, taking on the role of Vice President of Donated Goods before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2023. Leisa's diverse roles and extensive experience make their a valuable asset to the Goodwill organization.
Leisa Wamsley began their education at West Virginia Wesleyan College from 1981 to 1982, although no degree or field of study was specified during this time. Leisa then attended Marshall University from 1983 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in the field of Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.

Founded in 1957 as a not-for-profit, Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee's mission is, "Changing lives through education, training and employment." The agency, based in Nashville, Tenn., employs more than 2,000 people and serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee. We operate 33 retail stores, including three outlet stores, Career Solutions centers and over 70 donation sites. Goodwill is Middle and West Tennessee's largest employer of people with disabilities with more than 80 percent of our workforce reporting some type of disability or disadvantage.
