Jim Corbett

Jim Corbett is the current Chairman at Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois. Jim has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources, and has held various positions at different companies.

Corbett started their career in Human Resources at Eclipse Inc, where they were the Managing Director for European Operations. Jim then moved to Kerry Americas, where they were the Director for Human Resource Programs. In 2005, they joined Alpine Bank Illinois as the Senior Vice President for Human Resources.

At Alpine Bank, Jim was brought on to establish new credibility and transform HR group into proactive, value-adding partner. Jim successfully managed five direct reports and guided executive leadership team through seller-side due diligence process. Jim was able to reduce voluntary turnover to 1/3 less than the industry benchmark and improved internal succession rate of key leadership positions, with over 60% for all identified critical roles through innovative talent management process. Jim also launched and supported a flagship product education program that achieved 95% completion rate in the first year. In addition, Jim introduced a new total rewards strategy that provided a framework for top decision-making by executives, Board of Directors and HR team.

After a successful career at Alpine Bank, Jim was elected as Chairman at Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois in December 2018. Under their leadership, Goodwill Industries has continued to grow and thrive.

Jim Corbett graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Management.
