Laura Cirone

Laura Cirone has extensive experience in human resources, spanning over several positions and industries. Laura is currently the Director of People at Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Human Resources Director at Encompass Health from 2019 to 2022.

From 2014 to 2019, Laura worked as the Human Resources Manager at Rochelle Community Hospital, where they managed all aspects of HR and payroll for a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with 270 employees. Before that, they were the Human Resources Manager at Printpack from 2007 to 2014, overseeing HR operations in a 250-person, non-union flexible packaging/printing/converting plant.

Laura also held the position of Human Resources Manager at SPX Process Equipment from 2005 to 2007, managing HR functions for a 300-person, non-union manufacturer in the food and pharmaceutical processing industries. Prior to that, they worked in various temporary positions in HR from 2003 to 2005.

Before transitioning into HR, Laura worked as a Business Manager at the Community Hospital of Ottawa, IL, Home Health and Hospice Division from 1994 to 1995. Laura began their career as an Office Manager at Open Court Publishing Company, where they worked from 1983 to 1992.

Laura Cirone completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Management with Human Resources (H.R.) Emphasis from Northern Illinois University in 1993. Laura also earned an MBA with Human Resources Emphasis from Illinois State University between 1993 and 1995. Prior to their university studies, Laura obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Business from Illinois Valley Community College in 1990. Laura completed their high school education at LaSalle Peru High School, earning a diploma between 1978 and 1982.
