Gary Smith has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Gary started their career as a Training and Administrative Officer at Weed Army Community Hospital in 2002. In 2006, they joined Bassett Army Community Hospital as an Operations and Training Director. Gary then worked as VP of Programs at ASTD Pikes Peak Chapter from 2009 to 2010. In 2008, they joined Discover Goodwill of Southern and Western Colorado as a Director of Learning and Development. In 2014, they became the Director of Learning and Continuous Improvement at Discover Goodwill of Southern & Western Colorado. Currently, since 2016, they have worked at Goodwill of Colorado, first as Vice President of Human Resources, Contracts, and Continuous Improvement, and now as the Chief Mission Officer.
Gary Smith completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Training and Development from Wayland Baptist University from 1996 to 1998. Gary later pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Management from TUI University from 2003 to 2006. Prior to higher education, Gary attended Valley High School from 1974 to 1978.
