Michael J. Pardales

VP, Academic Affairs at Goodwin University

Dr. Pardales has served the needs of adult learners in higher education for more than 20 years in various leadership capacities. He was Associate Professor and Chair of the Education Department at the University of Michigan—Flint; Dean of the School of Education and Human Services at Canisius College; and Vice President and Chief Learning Officer at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, where he introduced Universal Design for Learning principles into online course design. As Vice President for Academic Affairs at Goodwin, Dr. Pardales oversees all academic and student life program areas. He received his doctorate in Educational Psychology from Michigan State University in 2001, and also has degrees in Philosophy and Education. He has published articles in the areas of critical literacy, constructivist teaching and learning, and most recently as a member of a multi-author, scientific study of wastewater testing during the pandemic.
