Phillip began a career in the telecommunications industry at Advanced Cable Technologies, where the position held was Project Manager from November 1999 to March 2009. Educationally, Phillip holds an Associate degree in Computer Networking and Security from Stark State College of Technology, completed between 2005 and 2010.
