Abhishek Verma

Abhishek Verma is a highly experienced software engineer with a diverse background, currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Google since July 2017, focusing on Resource & Infrastructure Optimization Technology. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Uber, where Abhishek established a new team for running Cassandra on Mesos and contributed to the open source Mesos framework. Abhishek has also worked at Tata Consultancy Services as a Research Consultant, investigating performance modeling of Hadoop and Hive applications, and served as a Teaching Fellow at Teach For India. Earlier in the career, Abhishek held various positions including Software Engineer and Summer Intern at Google, Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and internships at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories and Yahoo!. Abhishek holds a PhD and MS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.
