Frank Siegemund

Frank Siegemund is an experienced software engineering professional with a strong background in cloud computing and systems management. At Microsoft, Frank served in various roles, including Senior Software Developer and Principal Software Engineering Manager for Microsoft Azure, where significant contributions were made to the development of Azure's frontend services, network APIs, and Traffic Manager. Frank also worked as a Research Project Manager focusing on distributed systems. Prior to Microsoft, Frank was a Research and Teaching Assistant at ETH Zurich. Currently, Frank is a Senior Engineering Manager at Google, overseeing GPU and accelerator virtual machines in Google Compute Engine, following a position as Engineering Manager responsible for internal telemetry and metrics at Google Compute Engine. Frank holds a PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zurich and an MS in Computer Science from a collaborative program among the University of Rostock, University of London, and Technical University Darmstadt.
