Hejie Cui

Hejie Cui is a Senior Research Scientist at Google, specializing in large language models and agentic AI. They have expertise in LLM post-training, synthetic data generation, instruction tuning, reinforcement learning, and evaluation frameworks for reasoning and reliability. Previously, Hejie worked at Amazon Store Foundation AI, focusing on large-scale LLM post-training for customer understanding. They completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University, where they researched LLM synthetic data generation and evaluation systems for healthcare applications. Hejie earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Emory University and has received recognition as an EECS Rising Star and a Michigan AI Rising Star.
