Ian Sharkey possesses extensive experience in security and software systems, having held various roles across multiple organizations. From 2003 to 2013, Ian worked with the Government of Canada as a Software Systems Analyst and later as Supervisor/Team Lead. Ian then contributed to Research In Motion as a Security Capabilities Developer from 2010 to 2011 before being a Security Consultant at aajo from April 2012 to May 2013. Ian further expanded expertise at L3Harris Technologies from March 2019 to July 2021 as Site Lead, and currently serves as Security Engineering Manager at Google since July 2021. Ian holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick.
